Tuesday Title: Oprah’s newest pick – a heady read indeed

I had to laugh at Oprah’s newest book club selection, which is a double book of Charles Dickens Great Expectations and A Tale of Two Cities.

My son read Great Expectations over the summer for his school reading list and it took him a long time to get through.  In fact for much of the summer I got to hear about how long a book it was and how difficult it was to get through.  He much preferred Oliver Twist.  For myself with the holidays around the corner I would recommend A Christmas Carol if you want to give a Dickens classic for the holidays!  I’ll be curious to see if this Oprah selection does as well as some of her others.
